Chirec Int’l School, ISB Tie-Up For Entrepreneurship Programme
Hyderabad: Chirec International School, in collaboration with ISB Hyderabad held a Student Entrepreneurship Programme. During the six-week programme, 26 students from grades nine to 12 were mentored by the faculty of Indian School of Business, to build a startup idea. After presenting their ideas on Demo day, angel investors have now selected business ideas to mentor the students further for developing the idea into an venture.
Under the entrepreneurship programme, entrepreneurial topics such as, Idea Generation and Validation, Design Thinking, Product-Market Fit, Business Canvas Model, Finance, Pitch Deck Creation and others were covered. The business ideas were from sectors like AI, healthcare, clean-tech, education and sustainability.
“Led by industry experts and supported by one-on-one mentorship, the students worked through each stage of developing their startup ideas. Watching these students evolve in their ideas has been one of the most rewarding aspects of this programme,” said Saumya, Director, I-Venture, ISB.
An official release mentioned that the programme concluded on Demo Day, where 26 student teams presented their ideas to a panel of angel investors. Representatives from investment firms including, WeFounderCircle, NSRCEL IIM Bangalore, Hyderabad Angels, and other angel investors, evaluated the pitches. Currently, selected startup ideas proposed by students are being mentored by angel investors.
“Over the past six weeks, our students have engaged in weekly sessions with ISB faculty, worked closely with seasoned mentors to build 26 businesses. They have built businesses with purpose and profit, designed to create a better world,” said Aneesha Reddy, Head - Strategic Initiatives, Chirec International School.
